Emiroğlu cautioned mediator countries against falling into what he described as a tactical trap set by these powers.
Addressing the party’s foreign policy stance, Emiroğlu focused on the Gaza conflict, accusing Israel of continuing its massacres. He expressed concern that the current negotiations, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the US, are more about delaying actions than achieving genuine peace.
“A new negotiation process for a 'ceasefire' in Gaza, mediated by Qatar-Egypt-US, has started in Doha, the capital of Qatar. HAMAS did not participate in the negotiations in Doha, citing that the occupation regime has no intention of stopping the attacks and only wants to buy time,” Emiroğlu said. He added that despite HAMAS’s acceptance of a three-stage ceasefire plan, initially proposed by US President Joe Biden, Israel is manipulating the process, showing no real intent to cease its operations.
Emiroğlu also condemned the killing of HAMAS leader Ismail Haniyeh during the negotiation phase, accusing Israel of bad faith by altering the agreed-upon plan and escalating violence.
Calling for a broader regional response, Emiroğlu urged Middle Eastern countries to form a united front against "terrorist regimes" in the US and Israel. He warned that without such an alliance, the violence and destruction could extend beyond Gaza.
“The imperialist US, which provides billion-dollar arms support to the occupation regime, on the one hand, offers a protection shield to Israel by increasing its military buildup in the region, and on the other hand, tries to distract global public opinion that opposes the resistance and genocide with negotiation tactics,” Emiroğlu asserted.
He concluded by emphasizing the need for regional solidarity, particularly in the defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and called for immediate action to support the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation. (ILKHA)
