Hamas emphasized that these actions, intended to celebrate Jewish events, perform Talmudic prayers, and display Zionist flags at the Aqsa Mosque, would not succeed in altering the Islamic character of the site or changing its status quo. The group further condemned the ongoing violence by the Israeli government in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, labeling it as a threat to regional and international peace and security.
The statement urged the international community and the United Nations to take serious action against the Israeli government's actions. Hamas also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to intervene and halt Israel's attempts to Judaize Islamic and Christian holy sites across Palestine, particularly the Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to resisting Israeli occupation and vowed to continue the struggle for the liberation of Palestinian land and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. (ILKHA)
