Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani criticized the attack as a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and international laws.
The Israeli strike on Beirut, conducted on Tuesday night, led to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others. The attack, which involved a drone and three missiles, targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut, including the Hart Hraik area. Local sources also reported damage to Bahman Hospital and severe destruction to buildings and vehicles in the vicinity.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani condemned the Israeli aggression, describing it as a clear breach of Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kan'ani labeled the attack as a flagrant violation of international laws, including the United Nations Charter.
Kan'ani emphasized that such actions by the Israeli regime would not deter the Lebanese Resistance and nation from continuing their support for Palestinians and resisting Israeli aggression. He affirmed the legitimate right of the Lebanese government, army, and Resistance to respond to the Israeli actions.
Kan'ani blamed Israel and the US for escalating tensions and crises in the region. He called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to act immediately to address the threats posed by the Israeli regime to Lebanon's security and regional stability.
The spokesperson extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured. He expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and people in the face of the attack. (ILKHA)
