In a recent statement, the Ministry underscored its commitment to protecting the rights of Afghans abroad and ensuring the accessibility of consular services. However, it noted that many of Afghanistan’s political and consular missions in Europe have been operating independently and often in violation of established protocols.

As a result, the Ministry will no longer recognize or accept consular services provided by missions in the following countries: United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany (Berlin and Bonn), Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Canada, and Australia. This includes services such as document verification, deeds, endorsements, certification, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), passport issuance and renewal, sticker extensions, and visas.

Afghan nationals and foreign citizens seeking consular services are advised to contact other official missions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan located in countries not listed above.

The Ministry emphasized that these measures aim to ensure that all consular activities are conducted in a coordinated and lawful manner, reflecting the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to providing efficient and reliable services to its citizens abroad. (ILKHA)
