The update follows the killing of at least 55 civilians and injury of more than 110 others in three separate attacks by the Israeli army in the past 24 hours.
The ministry indicated that many victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying on roads. In total, at least 165 individuals, including the 55 new fatalities, have been transported to hospitals for treatment.
Since the escalation began on October 7, following a cross-border operation by Hamas's al-Qassam Brigades, the Gaza Strip has faced severe bombardment. The ongoing conflict has led to widespread displacement and critical shortages of essential supplies such as food, fuel, water, and medical resources due to the Israeli blockade and extensive infrastructure damage.
The situation remains dire for Gaza's 2.3 million residents, who are struggling amid the harsh conditions and increasing casualties. (ILKHA)
