Saif Zeyad Ali Omair was visiting his grandfather’s house in the town of Meithalun, south of Jenin, when he was struck in the chest by live bullets fired by Israeli soldiers two weeks ago. Despite being transferred to a hospital in Nablus for medical treatment, his condition remained serious, and doctors announced his death this evening.
On July 11, Israeli occupation forces stormed Meithalun, leading to confrontations during which a 15-year-old teenager was killed, and four others, including Omair, were injured.
The death of Omair brings the number of fatalities in the Tulkarem Governorate to six for today. Earlier, five other citizens, including a woman and her daughter, were killed in the Tulkarem camp.
The continued violence highlights the severe and ongoing impact of the conflict on Palestinian civilians, particularly children. (ILKHA)
