"The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm that they will respond to this blatant aggression and they will not hesitate to strike the vital targets of the Israeli enemy," Saree stated following the Israeli strikes, which hit a power station and fuel tanks, all civilian targets in western Yemen.
Saree indicated that the Yemeni armed forces are preparing for a prolonged conflict with Israel. The Israeli government claimed that its strikes on Saturday were in retaliation for a Yemeni drone attack on Tel Aviv that resulted in one death and ten injuries the previous day.
Yemen's Al Masirah network, citing the health ministry, reported several casualties from the Israeli strikes in Hodeidah, though exact numbers were not specified. According to Al Masirah, Israel conducted the strikes using F-35 aircraft.
Yemen justified its drone attack on Tel Aviv as a move to support the Palestinian people in Gaza, emphasizing its commitment to backing Gazans until Israel ends its military operations in the Palestinian territory. (ILKHA)
