Since October 7, 2023, violence and genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation regime have intensified. More than 40,000 Palestinian Muslims have been killed, and tens of thousands injured in the conflict.
The atrocities committed by Israeli forces have drawn widespread condemnation from around the world, with growing support for the Palestinian resistance.
In response, Batman Islamic Non-Governmental Organizations organized a silent march to protest the massacres and genocide in Gaza. The event, held under the theme "End the Occupation, Freedom for Palestine," saw significant participation from the local community.
The march, attended by HÜDA PAR Provincial Chairman Davut Şahin, began with a cortege in front of Atatürk Park. Participants carried Palestinian and Tawheed flags as they marched to Gülistan Street, stopping in front of the Human Rights Monument.
Although no press statement was made at the event, a large crowd of protesters observed five minutes of silence. The event concluded with a prayer led by Mullah Ali Altun, a member of ITTIHADUL ULEMA.
Following the prayer, citizens quietly dispersed, ending the peaceful demonstration. (ILKHA)
