According to Hamas, Netanyahu's statements represent a clear rejection of the recent United Nations Security Council resolution and the proposals put forth by US President Joe Biden.
"We insist that any agreement must include a permanent ceasefire and complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip," Hamas stated, emphasizing the necessity to prevent what they described as Netanyahu's tactical maneuvers and deceit.
The statement called upon the international community to exert pressure on the Israeli government to cease its military actions against the Palestinian population. Additionally, Hamas demanded that the Biden administration take decisive action to end the ongoing genocide in Gaza and to expose Israeli actions to the world.
Netanyahu made these comments during a televised interview with Israeli media outlet Channel 14, where he also announced plans to relocate Israeli troops to the southern Lebanon border as the intense phase of the conflict in Rafah nears its conclusion. However, he cautioned that this did not signify an end to hostilities in Gaza, suggesting they would continue until Hamas relinquished control of the enclave. (ILKHA)
