In a statement, the health ministry detailed that the Israeli army targeted civilians in various areas of Gaza, with a significant number of casualties transported to hospitals.

The death toll from the ongoing bombardments and shooting attacks, which began on October 7, has now reached 37,551 fatalities, with 85,911 people wounded.

Many more are feared trapped under rubble or stranded on roads.

The Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million residents, has been subjected to relentless bombardment since Hamas's armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, initiated cross-border operations last October.

The attacks have not only led to a high number of casualties and mass displacement but also caused severe shortages of basic necessities such as food, fuel, water, and medical supplies.

These shortages are exacerbated by Israel's tight blockade and extensive destruction of infrastructure and facilities in the region. (ILKHA)
