The award was presented during the "Lebbeytum Award Ceremony" held in Makkah al-Mukarramah (Mecca).
Ali Erbaş, head of Diyanet, received the award from Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah. The ceremony was attended by representatives from over 100 countries, although only 30 countries that met the specified criteria were eligible to participate in the competition.
The award recognized Diyanet for its disciplined services and projects provided to pilgrims, distinguishing it among the 30 eligible countries. Ali Erbaş was accompanied by Vice President of Religious Affairs Selim Argun, General Director of Hajj and Umrah Services Remzi Bircan, and Religious Services Attaché of Mecca Ahmet Oğuz.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, responsible for overseeing essential services for pilgrims, organized the event to honor outstanding contributions to the facilitation of Hajj and Umrah.
The award highlights the commitment and efficiency of Diyanet in managing pilgrim services, furthering cooperation between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia in religious affairs. (ILKHA)
