The meeting is expected to take place on the 3rd or 4th of July in Astana, the capital of the former Soviet state. The information was shared by Putin during a meeting with visiting Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan.
"This is part of an international event, and he and I will have an opportunity to meet and discuss all current issues," Putin was quoted as saying.
The event in question is a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a regional grouping of nations. Türkiye often participates in these meetings as a "dialogue partner".
Erdoğan has been actively seeking to maintain good relations with both Russia and Ukraine and has acted as an intermediary amid the ongoing conflict between the two nations, which has now lasted for more than two years. (ILKHA)
