The attacks primarily targeted Gaza City and Rafah, escalating the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
Local sources reported that an Israeli airstrike struck a house in Shawa Square in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of eastern Gaza City. Another airstrike targeted a Khalifa family home in Gaza's Old City. Additionally, artillery shelling in the vicinity of the University College in the Sabra neighborhood, located south of Gaza City, caused several casualties.
In Rafah, situated in the southern part of the enclave, Israeli airstrikes targeted the Brazil neighborhood, leading to injuries among civilians and the destruction of several homes.
Earlier in the day, Israeli artillery shelling hit the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, as well as the towns of Al-Mughraqa and Al-Zahraa in the central Gaza Strip. Concurrently, occupation forces fired smoke bombs along with artillery shells west of Rafah.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, the conflict has claimed 36,379 Palestinian lives, the majority of whom were women and children. Thousands of victims are also believed to be trapped under the rubble, adding to the devastating human toll of the ongoing aggression. (ILKHA)
