During a joint press conference with his Cambodian counterpart Sok Chenda Sophea in Ankara, Fidan emphasized that Israel’s continued offensive in Gaza is facilitated by backing from Western nations, especially the US.
Fidan highlighted the broader implications of the conflict, referencing the recent killing of an Egyptian soldier by Israeli forces at the Gaza-Egypt border as indicative of the wider regional threats posed by the violence.
Expressing a firm belief in accountability, Fidan stated: "Israel’s aggressions will not remain unpunished and will see a reaction from the whole of humanity as well as from international law."
He asserted that Israel’s actions in Gaza could neither have started nor continued without the steadfast support of certain Western countries, particularly the United States. (ILKHA)
