The Turkish Foreign Ministry emphasized that recognizing Palestine is not only a matter of international law but also a crucial step toward restoring the rights of the Palestinian people under occupation.

"The recognition of Palestine is a requirement of justice and conscience," stated the ministry. "This significant development underscores the rightful place Palestine deserves in the international community."

The ministry also pledged to continue its efforts to encourage more countries to recognize Palestine.

The official recognition by Spain, Ireland, and Norway will come into effect on May 28, as announced by their respective leaders. (ILKHA)
