Recently, the Inonu University Student Communities in Malatya took their activism to the next level by organizing a series of events at the Theology Faculty Mosque courtyard. Following Friday prayers, students gathered to denounce the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza. Their rallying cry, "Silence is complicity in genocide," echoed the sentiments of millions around the world who refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice.

In a powerful display of solidarity, academics and students came together for a sit-in, symbolically leaving behind their academic attire and pens to honor the memory of those who have lost their lives in the struggle for justice. As the life stories of the fallen were shared aloud, emotions ran high, fueling the resolve of those present to continue their fight for a better world.

The voices of these students, from Yemen, Somalia, Angola, Syria, and beyond, resonate with passion and determination. They speak not only of their own experiences and struggles but also of the collective pain and suffering of the Palestinian people. Their message is clear: the oppression and violence in Gaza must end, and they will not rest until justice is served.

Yemeni student Ayyal Hammadi, studying at the Inonu University Medical Faculty, expressed deep sorrow over the Gaza crisis and called for an end to the oppression. He emphasized the unwavering support of Yemen for Gaza and urged the international community to take action.

Baran Konca, a student at Inonu University Faculty of Theology, condemned the Israeli regime's actions as a violation of international law and called for global solidarity in the fight against oppression. He emphasized the historical context of the conflict and the need for resistance against injustice.

Amodu Kambungu Mbala from Angola, studying at Inonu University Faculty of Science and Literature, expressed distress over the ongoing genocide in Gaza and called for an immediate ceasefire. He highlighted the urgency of the situation and the need for swift action to save lives.

Kafa Hasan Muhammed, a student of Biomedical Engineering at Inonu University Faculty of Engineering, Somalia, emphasized the importance of speaking out against the atrocities in Palestine and pledged unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

Semira Marmur, a student from Syria studying at the Faculty of Education, empathized with the plight of Gazans, drawing parallels with Syria's own struggles. She pledged enduring support for Gaza's liberation and called for international solidarity in the fight against oppression.

Betül Sağlık, a student at Inonu University's Department of Political Science and Public Administration, highlighted the long-standing nature of the Gaza crisis and stressed the importance of global solidarity in addressing it. She emphasized the role of students in nurturing the global movement for Palestinian rights and called for continued activism and advocacy.

Harun Kaynak, a fourth-year student at Inonu University Faculty of Medicine, reiterated the imperative of raising awareness about the Gaza genocide.
