In a statement released on Saturday, the health ministry highlighted the imminent dangers posed by the accumulation of waste and sewage overflow resulting from Israel’s sustained aggression against the coastal enclave.
According to the ministry, the presence of extensive garbage, sewage overflow, as well as the proliferation of insects and reptiles in Gaza's neighborhoods and around makeshift shelters for displaced families, combined with soaring temperatures, has created a breeding ground for disease.
Appealing to international and UN health and humanitarian organizations, the health ministry urgently called for intervention to address the critical health conditions in Gaza and prevent the outbreak of diseases among civilians. (ILKHA)
