Speakers passionately highlighted the historical and religious significance of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) to the Islamic world, condemning the violence and bloodshed inflicted upon Palestinians by israeli forces.

Particular focus was placed on the critical situation in Gaza, which has been under siege for the past six months. The speakers decried the situation as a blatant "genocide," urging the international community to take immediate action.

Cemil Cahit Ünsal, representing the Prophet Lovers Foundation, delivered a captivating speech that resonated with the audience. Underscoring Jerusalem's profound significance as a holy site for Muslims, he traced the city's rich history, encompassing the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) miraculous Night Journey (Isra and Mi'raj).  He then transitioned to a strong condemnation of Israel's actions, highlighting the human rights abuses and atrocities witnessed in Gaza.

"The Palestinian people," Ünsal declared, "have demonstrated an unwavering faith and submission that has shaken the very core of the world's conscience." He praised their unwavering resistance and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds, emphasizing their determination to defend their land and dignity.

Beyond condemning the violence, the press statement also cast a critical eye on the international community's response. Ünsal lamented the deafening silence of many nations, arguing that their inaction made them complicit in the ongoing human rights violations.

The Prophet Lovers Foundation and Free Jerusalem Platform outlined a comprehensive strategy to support the Palestinian cause. The key areas of focus included:

Economic and Political Pressure: A call for imposing strong economic and political sanctions on Israel to cripple its war machine and force accountability.

Humanitarian Aid:  An urgent plea for increased humanitarian aid to alleviate the dire situation in Gaza, ensuring the basic needs of the besieged population are met.

Boycott Campaign: A renewed push for a widespread boycott of Israeli goods, aiming to exert economic pressure and raise awareness about the ethical implications of supporting the Israeli occupation.

Public Awareness:  A commitment to raising public awareness about the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, fostering empathy and understanding for the Palestinian plight.

The organizations reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination. They pledged their continued efforts towards the liberation of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing the importance of a unified Muslim front in achieving this goal.

The press statement concluded with a message of hope and solidarity.  The Prophet Lovers Foundation extended Laylat al-Qadr greetings to the Muslim world, expressing a fervent wish that future observances of this holy night would take place in a free and liberated Palestine.

Every year, on the final Friday of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month, a day of global action emerges in support of Palestinians. This event, known as World Quds Day (or International Quds Day), serves as a platform to voice solidarity with the Palestinian people and challenge Israeli policies and the ideology of Zionism. The name itself originates from the Arabic term for Jerusalem, "al-Quds." (ILKHA)
