According to local sources, armed clashes broke out after ZOF patrols infiltrated Ya’bad town and surrounded a local house owned by Asaad Al-Qaniri. The confrontation ultimately led to the fatal shooting of Al-Qaniri during the clashes.
Additionally, reports indicate that ZOF forces obstructed the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance from reaching a wounded individual on the roof of a neighboring house.
Prior to the incident, the ZOF conducted a large-scale raid campaign in the Jenin Governorate, triggering clashes in Qabatiya and the Jenin camp.
