According to a press release, the entrance of the consulate was targeted, but there were no injuries reported. The ministry emphasized its expectation that German authorities will hold those responsible accountable.

"German officials were contacted and reminded that they are responsible for the security of our citizens and diplomatic missions," the statement said. Türkiye's Foreign Ministry also urged European countries to show "zero tolerance" for PKK activities and bring perpetrators to justice.

The PKK, designated as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the United States, and the European Union, has a long history of armed conflict with the Turkish government. The ministry's statement suggests the attack may be linked to the group's recent struggles. (ILKHA)
