The protest came in response to the violent assault launched by israel on Gaza Shifa Hospital during the night of March 18, resulting in the loss of lives among patients, relatives, and refugees, with many Palestinians being taken prisoner.
Mothers from Adana gathered under the leadership of the Gökkuşağı Association to conduct a protest, and issue a press statement in condemnation of the atrocities in Gaza.
Expressing their refusal to normalize or remain silent about the oppression in Gaza, the mothers reiterated that hospitals should be considered safe zones in times of conflict, and yet they continue to be targeted.
Şeyma Şahin, speaking on behalf of the group, emphasized the ongoing suffering endured by the people of Gaza, who have been under bombardment for nearly six months, with the international community largely remaining indifferent to their plight.
"We cannot stand idly by while innocent lives are lost and families are torn apart," Şahin said. "It is our moral obligation to speak out against these atrocities and demand justice for the victims."
The protesters highlighted the urgency of the situation, especially as innocent and defenseless individuals continue to be targeted, even within hospital premises.
They called for a collective awakening and action against the atrocities, urging people not to turn a blind eye or become desensitized to the suffering of others.
The protest concluded with a march, symbolizing solidarity and a call for justice for the victims of the Gaza attacks. (ILKHA)
