Greek Prime Minister plans trip to Ankara in May to ease tensions

In an interview with Skai TV, Mitsotakis revealed his upcoming trip, aiming to reciprocate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Athens last December. He emphasized Turkey's apparent willingness to address longstanding issues, particularly regarding the delimitation of the exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

Mitsotakis acknowledged the EEZ dispute as a significant point of contention but expressed optimism about finding diplomatic solutions, even if disagreements persist. He underlined Greece's commitment to bolster its defense capabilities amidst ongoing negotiations. (ILKHA)
