Delivering remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, Erdoğan said: “We will defeat inflation, maintain growth, strengthen our state and increase the incomes of our workers and the retired.”
Drawing attention to his recent visits to the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, Erdoğan noted that both visits were productive, sincere and successful.
“Türkiye’s achievements are welcome in different parts of the world”
Praising Egypt’s support for the delivery of over 37 thousand tons of humanitarian aid Türkiye has sent to Gaza and for the transfer of the injured to Türkiye, Erdoğan said that they will host President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine in Türkiye tomorrow to discuss all the issues.
Stating that they spent the first day of March on Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which has become one of the important international events in the world, Erdoğan said that nearly 4,700 people attended to the Forum this year, and added: “We met with 11 heads of state and government on the sidelines of the Forum. The most important item on the agenda of my keynote speech and our bilateral talks was Gaza and Palestine. We once again saw on the occasion of Antalya Diplomacy Forum that Türkiye’s achievements are welcome in different parts of the world with interest.”
“We maintain our fight against terror with determination”
Touching upon Türkiye’s anti-terror fight, Erdoğan said that they maintain the fight against terror with determination both inside and outside Türkiye’s borders, and continued as follows: “We are about the complete the circle that will secure our Iraqi border. We will inshallah permanently resolve the matter concerning our Iraqi border this summer. We maintain our will to create a 30-40 kilometers deep security corridor along our Syrian border. We are determined to fill with new steps the gaps in this corridor, part of which we have already established with our previous operations. As we have openly told them in person, we call on all in the region to respect this security strategy of ours. Otherwise, they themselves will be the reason of potential tensions. We have preparations that will cause new nightmares to those who assume they can bring Türkiye to its knees by establishing a terroristan along our southern borders. We will not hesitate to push the limits until we will make those, who have yet to understand our country’s and nation’s determination in combatting terrorism, accept this fact.”
“Türkiye is doing its best for Gaza and Palestine”
Pointing to Türkiye’s diplomatic efforts, humanitarian aid and sincere cries for the people of Gaza, Erdoğan stated: “Türkiye is doing its best for Gaza and Palestine, and will continue to do so. However, the resolution to the problem requires an efficient and determined unity of understanding at international level. Especially, the Islamic world needs, more than ever, to come together as one like the bricks of a wall. There is no need to explain how international organizations, which should stop this atrocity, have been paralyzed, how those, who merely want to make this atrocity be heard, are pressurized, and how the deviance of fascism has become rampant.”
Underscoring that the first Jewish residential unit to be built in Gaza will be enough on its own to show the reason for this brutality is nothing but theft, unscrupulosity and dishonor, President Erdoğan stressed: “None of the countries and nations, which have been legitimizing the systematic acts of usurpation that have been going on in the Palestinian territories since the Second World War, will have a safe future. When the acts of murder and theft, which they deem proper for the Palestinians today, will be imposed on them tomorrow, these countries and nations will not have the face to ask for help. The aim of this bitter but true view is not to threaten anyone, but to remind what will happen in the future.”
Also pointing to the economic challenges at home, Erdoğan said: “We will defeat inflation, maintain growth, strengthen our state and increase the incomes of our workers and the retired.”
"We will not leave any of our people, especially the hard workers of the Turkish Century, in trouble. We will not allow them to suffer knowingly. I especially ask our people to continue to trust and believe us, and not to withhold their support and prayers from us. I pray that God may make our unity, togetherness, and solidarity everlasting. I wish that our meeting and the decisions we make will be a source of good,” he concluded. (ILKHA)
