"The number of martyrs exceeds 30,000," the ministry said in a statement, adding that the toll includes at least 79 martyrs reported overnight.
Tragically, a significant portion of the latest casualties were children and women. Twenty-five Palestinians lost their lives in an Israeli bombardment targeting the al-Nuseirat and al-Bureij camps in the central Gaza Strip.
Following the attacks, the bodies of the martyrs were retrieved from the debris of targeted residential buildings and transported to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
In Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, israeli forces escalated their shelling across multiple areas, resulting in the European Hospital receiving the bodies of five additional martyrs.
Additionally, the Nasser Medical Complex building in Khan Younis was targeted by Israeli artillery, leading to a fire outbreak.
In a related development, medical and civil defense teams successfully recovered the body of a female martyr two days after an Israeli bombardment struck her family's residence in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
The escalating violence underscores the urgent need for international intervention to address the humanitarian crisis and bring an end to the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza. (ILKHA)
