Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in an event held at the Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center for the appointment of 148 judges and public prosecutors.
During his speech at the ceremony, President Erdoğan addressed various issues concerning the judiciary, stating: “Our judiciary still faces unresolved challenges, some of which pertain to necessary amendments in our constitution and laws. Others stem from institutional operations, inter-agency differences, and longstanding practices. We are committed to continuously reforming the regulatory framework of our judicial system.”
He also mentioned the Judicial Reform Strategy Document, which was made public in 2019, and emphasized the government's adherence to the outlined roadmap. President Erdoğan highlighted the recent submission of the eighth judicial package to the parliament as a step in implementing the strategy document. (ILKHA)
