This grassroots effort, supported by national and local aid organizations, culminated in the delivery of collected funds to Gaza via the Orphans Foundation.

While the magnitude of the crisis in Gaza demands widespread and sustained international intervention, the "My Daily Earnings to Gaza" campaign holds significance beyond the immediate impact of the delivered aid. It represents a symbolic gesture of compassion from a community far removed from the Gaza Stripe, where Israeli regime commits massacres on a daily basis. It speaks volumes about the power of human connection and the unwavering spirit of support that transcends geographical boundaries.

The aid, collected as part of the mobilization initiated by NGOs operating in Konya, was distributed to the people of Gaza through the Orphans Foundation. Gaza has been under relentless attack by Zionist occupation forces for nearly five months, leading to widespread displacement and humanitarian crisis.

Approximately 2 million people have been displaced as a result of the attacks, with the blockade imposed by the occupation regime exacerbating the dire situation. Despite efforts to prevent humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, organizations like the Orphans Foundation continue to provide essential support to affected families.

In response to the crisis, the Konya NGO Platform and the Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen called on local tradesmen to donate their one-day earnings on February 8th to Gaza. The generous contributions from the tradesmen were then delivered to Gaza through the Orphans Foundation.

While the aid provided may not fully alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing conflict, it serves as a source of morale for the people of Gaza, demonstrating solidarity and support from their brothers in Konya.

As the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, organizations like the Orphans Foundation are committed to continuing their efforts to provide assistance to those in need, despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict and blockade. (ILKHA)
