Acting on a tip about a migrant boat in distress, Coast Guard teams quickly reached the location and found a rubber boat carrying the individuals. The team determined that the boat had been pushed into Turkish waters by Greek authorities.
All 25 migrants, whose nationalities were not specified, were safely brought ashore. Additionally, a person suspected of facilitating their irregular migration attempt was detained during the operation.
Following standard procedures, the rescued migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing. Meanwhile, the detained smuggler will face legal proceedings.
